All about la Salsachica

Passionate about dancing, spend way too much time dancing and surfing the net and learning new languages. Apparently I’m a polyglot. I travel around Singapore in search of delicious food and are sharing some of the places I’ve been to in this blog. I tell it as it is, when it’s sedap, then I’ll say it’s sedap/delicious/yummy /magnifique etc.. Like others, I have my good and bad days. Been on the search for happiness, have yet to find it. Although, have hypothesized that happiness is but a relative state that may be achieved through acceptance of current situation. To test this hypothesis, I will conduct an experiment with a localised test subject, i.e me. I have multiple jobs which basically revolves in me not sleeping much or being in one country for too long. I like to write in my journal and sing out loud at 3 am in the morning. I dance around in my room and fall asleep in the wee wee hours of the morning. I live on two to three hours of sleep and yet remain hyper throughout the day 😛
If you’re wondering about the name, I studied classical ballroom since I was 17, won awards for it and then went on to study latin dances like bachata and salsa in Australia.  I used to teach dance merengue, salsa and rumba in college. I have stopped dancing professionally since coming back to Singapore, and am still in search of that missing person to partner me across the dance floor, in the meantime I seek tantalising creations in Singapore and wherever I travel.

I would love to learn salsa from you one day. Melbourne Docklands has this awesome salsa club I used to frequent to drool and admire at those really good dancers that never seem to stay in one spot for too long 🙂

No worries, I’ll teach you if perchance we were to meet one day. I used to dance salsa from Mondays to Fridays, a different club/lounge for every day of the work week, the number of shoes I broke the heels off and bought were too many 😛 aah those were the days twirling across the dancefloor in the arms of someone 🙂 Saturdays were in R&B clubs and I usually only sneaked back to college early Sunday morning 😛

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I’m a Muslim and focusing on strengthening my knowledge in Islam and my belief in Allah has been making me happier everyday. I guess it’s time I need to update this old about page.

  5. Dancing is one of my passions too; although, I have not done it in far too long.

To me dancing is an escape avenue to express emotions bottled up inside, put the music on loud & try dancing alone in your room, it’s liberating! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Hello Becky! Thanks! 😀 it definitely would be the icing! I’ve been writing blogs for a while, but I have a tendency to forget to write a post every couple of months hahaha I don’t know how others have the discipline to churn out posts everyday or every few hours, or maybe I’m just a slacker hahahaha Thanks for following!
