Desserts for breakfast

Today’s breakfast is brought to you by the letter “D”! We had 2 desserts for breakfast! Mom made a butterscotch, cinnamon, chocolate chips blondie and bubur chacha. Bubur chacha is a sweet porridge made out coconut milk, sweet potato, yam, tapioca cubes. Best served with ice.

Mom’s first attempt at blondies was yummy! Brown sugar and french butter make everything delicious!

Butterscotch, cinnamon and chocolate chips blondies

1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup self-raising flour
A pinch of salt
1/3 cup butterscotch chips
1/3 cup cinnamon chips
1/3 cup chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Remove from heat and pour into a mixing bowl.

Add the brown sugar, egg and vanilla and stir till mixture incorporated. Stir quickly, you dont want scrambled eggs in your blondie.

Add the flour and salt, mix well. Add all the chips and mix till combined evenly.

Pour into a brownie pan and bake till golden for 25-30 minutes.

Why the long absence of blondies in your life? If I dont bake, I get my blondie fix from Ben & Jerry’s Maple Tree Hugger. The cubes of maple blondies wedged all over in the tub of ice cream are too die for

Ben & Jerry’s? Really? I did not know that. Somebody has been withholding important information from me. And should you ever bake blondies in excess, just saying. Need I volunteer? haha.

Of course! Volunteers are always welcomed 🙂
