One of the prompts for the first post for NaPoWriMowas to compose a poem that has the same first line as another poem. I have chosen part of the first line from , “The Raven” by Edgar Allen Poe.
Once upon a midnight dreary
Attempting to think through
Of how clueless I had been truly
The bitter truth about you
Realizing I was blinded
By empty promises of our future
The idyllic life of you, me and three?
A polyamorous life surely
It is not my cup of tea!
