Pecan Pie

I was inspired to make this pie. Rather not discuss the object of my inspiration. Anyways what’s not to like about a pecan pie, sweet and gooey and crunchy at the same time. Ok there’s something that I don’t like, waiting for it to cool!

2/3 cup dark brown sugar
2/3 cup corn syrup
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup melted butter
4 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cups pecans

Combine sugar, syrup and butter. Whisk in eggs. Add vanilla, vinegar and salt. Stir in pecans and stir to thoroughly coat them. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 175 degrees C for 50 to 60 minutes.  Wait for a very long time for it to cool! Well worth the wait though 😛
