What I always seemed to end up ordering at Resto Surabaya would be Ayam Penyet Kremes and Empek-empek with a a long cool glass of avocado juice to get rid of the spiciness of the sambal, shiok, but spicy. Anyways, this time round, I went there with Steph and she tried the Soto Lamongan. The soto is very unlike the typical soto ayam, I think it has a lot more kunyit used in its rempah then the ones we usually have. There was also a new dish on the menu, Tahu Telur! Two thumbs up for the tahu telur which basically are cubes of tofu and egg fried together and served with a special sauce. Some places the sauce is just sweet soy sauce, but here the sauce was different, kinda like a gado-gado sauce sans its chunkyness and smoother and lighter.

As I was walking around Raffles City a couple of weeks ago, I came upon a new store that was serving up froyo, YUM! I was used to the tubs of frozen peach flavoured yoghurt from YAMI Yoghurt, but this FroYo is so smooth and unique. There are two flavours, the original and the YoguBliss. The YoguBliss is made from dragonfruit and pomegranate, so a large tub of swirl is so yummy. I have it for lunch almost every day, with toppings of granola and peach. It’s so smooth and shiok and its so addictive!

Took my mates from college over here, and although the food was interesting whereby there was mexican fajitas, pastas, ribs and steaks… it was what happened afterwards that made it a memorable adventure, after dinner at Orchard Towers my buddy Farid was approached by a cross-gendered person, he didn’t realise it, but when he did it gave him the shock of his life.
