Today marks our 2nd visit to The Bread Project
and we were greeted with a nice spread of breads different from last Saturday. At this bakery, there’s a different menu for everyday so you can get to try different breads on every visit. I so wanted to try the croissants, but they hadn’t made them yet
On today’s offerings there were baguettes, ciabata, orange blossom, brioche tete, bostok and chocolate concha! The only bread I managed to take a picture of today before chomping down was the chocolate concha that was cooling on the racks just freshly out of the oven. In Mexico, this pan dulce, sweet bread, comes in different coloured sugar toppings. This chocolate concha is a round ball of brioche that’s filled with chocolate and topped with a sandy chocolate topping. Delicious! Now if only there was a San Churro chocolate cafe in Singapore, I’d love to dip these conchas into a mug of thick rich hot chocolate! Mmmmmm I can just imagine it
