And I’m feeling not so good..

Throat is bleeding, who knows why.. and my asthma attacks are suddenly resurfacing (maybe that’s why they call ‘em attacks?). My Seretide inhaler and Ventolin inhaler are not helping much, neither were my Angised pills..it feels as though my chest is tightening for every breath I try to take. I’m unable to take deep breaths, instead short shallow breaths and tha further exarcebates the pain in my chest.  I haven’t been able to sleep much or lately for that matter. I toss and turn on my bed, trying to find an angle, a position , that’ll enable me to breath well and sleep properly. All for naught, my eyes are like a panda’s now..yes I am an insomniac, but I still need get a little nap right before dawn. Perhaps I’ve been overworking myself too much, or the weather’s that’s been acting crazy is affecting me, brain’s on overload with emotional bagage or maybe it’s just my body telling me that I need to rest. Sigh. Darn it I want to breath! Tommorow’s the first day of Ramadan, insya’allah I hope I would be able to manage fast the whole month. Last year, I managed to alhamdullilah, well that’s also due to the meds that I’ve been taking, screwing up my whole body system. Anyways, to all who practice fasting in the month of Ramadan, to my muslim sisters and brothers, happy fasting!

When the cats away the mice are at play hehehe. Well that adage seems to be true whenever dad and uda are away. We went to dinner at Hei Sushi at Downtown East. There’s only 2 companies that serve halal sushi, one is Ramen Ten and the newest kid in the block, would be Hei Sushi. Actually thats not entirely true, APEX PAL is the parent company of Hei Sushi, which also is the parent company for ALL the Sakae Sushi restaurants all over Singapore. The difference apparently is that they didn’t want to use the brand Sakae Sushi for the halal restaurants as Sakae means sake as in the alcoholic rice wine. Anyways, I’ve been wanting to eat here for quite awhile. It has the same concept as Fresh Bulgogi, whereby you order through a computer, our mouse wasn’t working, so we placed our order with the manager. We ordered: chicken kaminabe(a hotpot using paper, not too great, but hey I can finally say I had Kaminabe, soup was nice though sweet and I think its because of the long white cabbage), an eel stew (really nice, it comes together with egg and eggplants in a small dish, the eel was soft, but there were bones) , beef sukiyaki (uwe o muite hehehe makes me remember the lyrics to the song I used to sing in choir, wasn’t mesmerising or tantalising, I blame the meat being frozen and not too fresh like fresh bulgogis’s mmmmmm), baked hotate (scallops in shell baked with a creamy sauce I think with an added wasabe, really good, but I forgot adik was allergic to scallops), toza tofu, salmon balls came with the same sauce and mayo that you get when one orders takoyaki (I’m guessing its their take on that all time favourite), chicken and beef ramen (both of which were overseasoned or maybe too many dashes of shoyu), cold soba noodles (great as usual) , salmon carpaccio (lovely and had a piquant sauce poured over it and it came with lovely ikura yummmmmmmmmy) and la piece de la resistance was the soft shell crab(first time having it, and Mummy and I fell in love).Their  Japenese green tea was a steal at only $.098 per cup, and free hot water refills on the counter.  I also ordered a pot of Oden, but it didn’t come even after we waited for so long and after we finished everything on our table. We didn’t try the sushi out though except for the crepe ones filled with soft shell crab (yummy). Anyways will be back there again for the Oden which I didn’t get to try out, and for the bento sets and donburis.

Lessons I finally learned…

Numero uno, dancing makes the world a better place. Singing out loud when you’re in a bad mood can make you feel happier. Chocolate especially bitter chocolate tarts from the chocolate bar may decrease your depression level. You may have given your heart and your all to that special someone, but when he finds someone else, you cannot stop believing that you are not worthy of anyone’s love. Crappy stuff happens, it just happens to you with every single guy you fall in love with. Wasting your time thinking what went wrong would only bring about more pain, tears and increased usage of painkillers and sleeping pills. You are slowly running out of ‘em. You are already very sick and you probably don’t have that much time on earth. You have a physically broken heart, thus it is not worth it to make it more emotionally broken. You click on myspace/facebook and see a reminder of what you do not have, so visit this site and others that displays the picture of the one you love and broke your heart less regularly and read the Quran instead. Life is too short and too precious to waste dwelling on sad and painful memories. Tis better to use one’s brain cells to learn new languages instead or read thick books. Your real friends are the ones that know when you’re down and depressed and give you advice that you attempt to heed. Mangas are a good outlet to relieve stress. Call someone you trust to talk to when you feel like life should just end with a bottle of painkillers. Else keep silent, sometimes your only solace is your own solitude and through it perhaps you might find some respite. Hug your friends for you never know when will you see them again. Distancing oneself from other people, just makes one feel lonelier and more depressed, although it aids in not making others feel the same way as well. Keeping silent about ones problems just eats oneself inside. A cupcake without frosting is not a cupcake, it’ll just be a cake. Make sensational baked goods with conviction and passion, and others will enjoy it, and business would hopefully increase. A low-cut top actually has a direct correlation to the daily sales :P Spend a little more on shoes, your feet will love you. Splurge on chocolates for your family, not only they feel good, you’ll feel good too. Korean dramas are predictable, but they are so damn good and twisted to watch and while away your time when there’s nothing to do. To learn Mandarin, is much more harder then to learn Turkish and Arabic. When travelling, dress comfortably for long flights. Spend less in Singapore, splurge in America :) Lastly, love your friends and love your family, for they are the ones that love and trust you.
